Found these little tykes in a Pine tree when I was out doing some Silviculture work South of Houston, B.C.
But did you think it was this small????
No idea what kind of chicks these are as momma was not around when i stumbled into this nest.

Found this big guy on the side of the road and he didn’t mind a few photos.
Pretty tame…he obviously knows it is not hunting season yet and will not be hunted unless he moves a few hundred kilometres.!
Full body shot…photo taken near Jasper, Alberta
I have a few more pics but these are the best of the bunch!!
We were driving east on the North side of Ootsa Lake, very near the family cabin, and we came upon these two ungulates in a farmer’s field. The Mule Deer (on the right) was trying to lose the Caribou…it was almost like the young Caribou lost its mother and was trying to hang out with this buck. We watched as the two went field to field, crossed roads…
and jumped fences.
After awhile, the mule deer was resigned to the fact that it would not be able to lose the Caribou and they walk away from us down the middle of the road.
Thanks to Marty Hamhuis and my brother Dave for getting me out on the river today. Used a jet boat and zipped up and down the river and hit a few spots. Between the 3 of us we landed 5 steelhead and a few Dolly Varden. Below is a pic of the second Steelhead that i caught…lucky Dave was close by to get a pic before releasing back to the river.
Literally 3 minutes later i got into this one…
Big thanks to Marty for allowing me to fish this hole first and have some ‘Tight Lines’ for the first time this season.
Ok…some family pictures as well…
At the Cabin at Ootsa Lake with the girls (or i mean ladies).
This was part of the crew that helped build the new deck at the cabin…relaxing down at the beach at the end of the day…finally a shot of Anne looking at the camera and Kaylee not being a total joker.
And finally a good shot of the big girls with Jasper, the 13 year old Lab/Golden cross!! Jasper looks tired as he had been running around all day…he just wanted to go to sleep.
